Joshua Jackson and Lauren Ridloff co-star in the Broadway revival of Mark Medoff’s drama, which begins March 22, 2018, at Studio 54.
ER Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Anthony Edwards has joined the cast of the forthcoming Broadway revival of Mark Medoff’s Tony Award-winning drama Children of a Lesser God.
Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek) and Lauren Ridloff (Wonderstruck) will star in the Kenny Leon-helmed production, which begins performances March 22, 2018, at Studio 54 prior to an April 11 official opening night. Hal Luftig is lead producer on the revival.
Jackson, Ridloff, and Edwards will all make their Broadway debuts with the production, which marks the first-ever Broadway revival of the acclaimed 1980 play.
Edwards has been cast as Mr. Franklin, the superintendent at the school for the deaf where the play is set.
The production premiered at Berkshire Theatre Group earlier this year.
As previously reported, Jackson takes on the role of James Leeds, a teacher at a school who encounters Sarah Norman (Ridloff), a young deaf woman who is hesitant to integrate herself into the hearing world, despite his insistence.
The cast also features Kecia Lewis, Julee Cerda, Treshelle Edmond, and John McGinty.
Pre-recorded captioning and audio description technology will be available at performances beginning April 12. Reservation for the technology is not required, however, guests are encouraged to arrive at the theatre 30 minutes prior to curtain to allow time for set-up.
